# 1 Cosmopolitan
The Cosmopolitan consists of a combination of vodca, triple sec (a French liquor), lemon juice and cranberry juice. Although its origin is unclear (some say it appeared in 1985 in Florida and others that was in Minneapolis around 1975), the truth is that if something has helped popularize it has been its presence in the series Sex in New York.
# 2 Mojito
It may be the most heard word on summer terraces. The mojito is a mixture of white rum, peppermint, lemon juice, sugar and sparkling water. It is one of the most refreshing cocktails with a relatively low alcohol content.
# 3 Mai Tai
This exotic cocktail is a mixture of black and white rum, orange curacao, horchata syrup and lemon juice. The name literally means “very good”, in Tahitano, and emerged in California. There are more than 10 different presentations of Mai Tai, so it can be said that there are varieties for all tastes.

This cocktail may not sound like much to you, but it is extraordinarily known in the southern United States. The cocktail is made up of Bourbon, some water, powdered and granulated sugar and lots of mint, and is the official drink of the Kentucky Derby.
# 5 Caipirinha
We could consider caipirinha the national cocktail of Brazil. It consists of Brazilian rum, brown sugar and lemon juice. Be careful because its sweet taste makes it very attractive but quickly rises to the head.
# 6 Margarita
We are talking about the most popular cocktail in the United States. In its preparation tequila, triple sec and lemon juice are used, a mixture to which ice is often added. In addition, a little salt is usually added to the edge of the glass.
# 7 Piña colada
A cocktail that takes us to a tropical beach thanks to its mixture of rum, coconut milk and pineapple juice. Its origin must be sought in a luxury hotel in Puerto Rico, in the 50s.
# 8 Californication
This cocktail owes its name to one of the best known themes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It is a mixture of rum, vodka, tequila and gin to which orange liqueur, lemon juice and orange juice are added to taste.
# 9 Long Island Iced Tea
You have to have a good hand to prepare this cocktail, for the large amount of ingredients that it includes. We have rum, vodka, tequila, gin, triple sec, sweet and sour lemon juice and cola. Interestingly, tea is not usually added.
# 10 Apple Martini
Apple Martini or Appletini is an increasingly popular version of dry Martini. Apple liquor and apple juice are the keys to its success. As a curiosity, it must be said that this cocktail is the favorite for St. Patrick’s Day.
